ZEN PLA Print Settings

When it comes to 3D printing, having the right settings is crucial for achieving the best results. At ZEN Filament, we offer two fantastic ranges of filaments: Minima and Velocity. Each range has its own recommended settings to help you get the most out of your printing experience. Let’s dive into the specifics!

Minima Range Print Settings

The Minima range is designed for everyday users who want quality without breaking the bank. Here are the recommended settings for printing with Minima filaments:

  • Hot End Temperature: 210 - 220°C
  • Bed Temperature: 50 - 60°C
  • Print Speed: Up to 400mm/sec

These settings provide a balanced approach, ensuring that your prints adhere well to the bed while maintaining a smooth flow of filament. If you’re new to 3D printing or looking for reliable results, Minima is a great choice!

Velocity Range Print Settings

For those who are looking to push the limits of speed and efficiency, the Velocity range is your go-to option. The Velocity range combines the strength of Ultra with extra flow rate that makes it compatible for next-gen 3D Printers that are pushing the boundaries of FDM Print speeds. Here are the recommended settings for this high-performance filament:

  • Hot End Temperature: 220 - 230°C
  • Bed Temperature: 50 - 60°C
  • Print Speed: 600mm/sec

With these settings, you can achieve rapid print times without sacrificing quality. The Velocity range is perfect for experienced users who want to maximize their productivity and create intricate designs in less time. If you're finding any under extrusion at high speeds, increase the temperature of the hot end by 5 degrees. The hotter the filament, the better it flows under pressure which is helpful when you're moving at 600+mm/sec

Regardless of which range you choose, always make sure to monitor your prints and adjust settings as necessary. Every printer is unique, and slight tweaks can make a big difference in the final outcome. Happy printing!
